The Grammys Have Been Postponed

January 07, 2021 - 10:53 AM - 147 views

Looks like we will have to wait a little longer, to find out who will win a Grammy. The 2021 award show set for January 31st has been postponed.

The Recording Academy and it's partner CBS made the decision to postpone the annual event. The event was to take place at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles. This is due to a rise, in covid cases across the country. California has seen a rise in covid cases. This caused a change in the event.

Multiple reports have come out saying, the event will happen sometime in March. There is no official confirmation.

In a September interview, interim Grammy chief Harvey Mason, Jr. said the initial general plan was to host a limited or no audience at all. Now the question is will that happen come March?

This isn't the first award show to make adjustments. The MTV VMA were mostly pre taped, while live portions were across New York City with a limited audience. The BET awards had high performance music videos and a host in front of a green screen. There are a variety of options that can be done. We don't yet know what the recording academy has planned.

We will have to wait and see what happens. Do you agree with their decision? Let us know below.
